The Beginning of a New Chapter

Late last summer, my family and I moved to the countryside. We packed up and left crowded, noisy suburbia for a more peaceful, spacious rural lifestyle. We felt that the change from urbanity to countryside would offer a new lease on life and turn a new chapter in our family story. Where we once had paved, tidy streets, we now have dusty (often times muddy), pebbly dirt roads. Neighbors, cars and cramped backyards full of sheds in our old neighborhood have now been replaced by trees, wildlife, marshes and rolling hills. Sounds appealing? Well, in many ways it is. And these are my observations of life here in the wetlands of south-central Ontario.
