Verdant Landscape

The scenery in the last month has changed dramatically. What was only a short time ago a barren, iron-colored landscape has now blossomed into a verdant, lush, living area. Each day something new seems to happen. When in the city, you don't really get the time to look out a window and admire the great bounty that our Earth has to provide. As I sit and write, I look out upon a large horse chestnut tree with long oval leaves and white, lilac-like flowers about to pop. The lavender-colored and white lilacs are now in full bloom. They look and smell divine. So many natural lilac bushes line these country roads and just make one feel happy and grateful to be alive.
